You’ll find the hottest water on the property in the Historic Baths, with temperatures ranging from 110 – 112 degrees. Cold “city water” is also provided so that you can cool the water if you prefer it less hot.
The Historic Baths provide the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful soak. Each has been fully renovated and features new tile, soft lighting, and a window that can be opened for ventilation.
The Historic Baths were originally built in the 1930s. During renovation we found evidence of 10 baths in the original bathhouse. We were able to preserve four of them. Two became the Historic Baths. The third is in The Studio, while the fourth will most likely be available to guests when we add another lodging room down the line.
- $5 per 1/2 hour (single walk-ins between 9am and 9pm)
- Cash payments only
- All soaks in the Historic Baths include a towel and drinking water.
The Spa at Blackstone Hotsprings is open for guests, walk-in bathers and tours from 9am-9pm Monday through Thursday, and from 9am-10pm Friday Saturday and Sunday.
All bathers who use the spa — lodging guests and walk-ins — must sign in and pre-pay before bathing in the Wet Room or Historic Baths.
Truth or Consequences was originally called Hot Springs, New Mexico because the downtown actually floats on top of a huge hot spring. (See a historic brochure from the ’30s promoting Hot Springs as the City of Health.
Our natural spring water comes from the ground at the perfect temperature for bathing. And while it includes a high mineral concentration, our water is crystal clear and it has no unpleasant odor.
The Spa at Blackstone Hotsprings offers mineral baths to both lodging guests and day-use guests.
